Terms of Use
1. Agreement
By downloading or using ShipTime Companion ("the app"), published by Thiliax ("we", "us"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. What the app is — and isn't
ShipTime is an offline travel utility that helps you track ship time, set your own alarms, estimate duty-free allowances, convert currencies and organise packing.
It is not an official source for any of this information.Specifically:
- Ship time and all-aboard times are entered by you. The app cannot know your ship's actual schedule or any change to it. Your cruise line's daily program and crew are the only authoritative source. Always confirm departure times before leaving the ship.
- Alarms depend on your device. They rely on your phone being powered on, with notifications permitted and its clock intact. A dead battery, silenced device, disabled permission or manual clock change can prevent an alarm from reaching you. Never rely on the app as your only safeguard against missing a departure.
- Customs figures are guidance, not a determination.Duty-free exemptions and duty owed are decided by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers. Rules change, and personal circumstances vary.
- Exchange rates are indicative. They are cached for offline use and will differ from the rate your bank, card issuer or a local vendor actually applies.
You are responsible for getting back to your ship on time and for declaring your purchases accurately.
3. Subscriptions and purchases
Core features — the cruise countdown, dual clock and Cruise Mode — are free. Premium features are available through the following purchases:
- Monthly subscription — auto-renewing
- Annual subscription — auto-renewing
- Lifetime — a single, one-time purchase
Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account at confirmation.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
Cancelling. Manage or cancel at any time in yourApp StoreorGoogle Playaccount settings. Cancelling stops future charges; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. As a courtesy, the app can send you a reminder before a renewal — this is a convenience, not a guarantee, and the responsibility to cancel in time remains yours.
Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their own policies; we cannot issue them directly. If something has gone wrong, email us and we will try to help.
4. Acceptable use
Please do not reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app, attempt to circumvent purchase verification, or use it unlawfully.
5. Intellectual property
The app, its content and its branding belong to us. Cruise line names and ship names that appear in the app or on this site are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility. ShipTime is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any cruise line.
6. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any alarm or figure will be accurate or delivered.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — including missed departures, transport or accommodation costs, customs duties or penalties, or losses arising from currency conversion. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this may not apply to you.
7. Changes
We may update these terms; the "last updated" date will change and continued use constitutes acceptance. We may modify or discontinue features, though we will not remove a feature you have paid for during your paid period.
